PIT still meets when school ends!

The next PIT meeting is May 29th at 6:00 pm in the SEHS band room. We will also be registering students for marching band and collecting the $50 deposit towards your band fees.

Spring Concert and Band Banquet

Spring Concert Tues. May 13 - 7pm @ SEHS (band students need to be there by 6pm)
Parents are encouraged to register their band students for next fall's
Marching band @ the concert. There will be a table set up to pay the $50.00 registration fee.

Band Banquet Thurs. May 15 - 7pm @ SEHS the banquet will be pot-luck:
Flutes/F Horns bring Drinks (gallons/2 liters)
Trumpet/Clarinets bring meat
Baritones/Trombone bring veggies & casseroles
Alto Sax/Guard bring deserts & rolls
Everyone else being paper plates/cups/napkins/plastic forks

DISTRICT BAND FESTIVAL

Friday, Feb 15 our band will perform at 3:00 PM at Opelika High School (Opelika Center for the Performing Arts). We will leave school on charter busses at 9:00 AM and return to SEHS around 5:00 PM. Student MUST bring their uniform to school (to include shoes, socks, bibbers and jacket - NO HAT OR GAUNTLETS). Students should bring $10-$15 for lunch. If we pass district we will go to state in Tuscaloosa March 12 or 13. (Thank you Mrs. Jones for the charter busses!)

Also:
Solo and Ensemble Festival on april 5 at Trinity Presbyterian School in Montgomery. Students will play solo or in small ensembles (duets, trios, etc) for jusdges to earn medals. Deadline to sign-up is March 1. Cost is $5 per event. and you can sign-up in the band room.
